At The Children's House (TCH), we use the word “community” to refer to our many volunteers comprised of parents, grandparents, and other family members, students, teachers, staff, and friends of our school. TCH volunteers make a meaningful difference through their gift of time. As children watch parents, grandparents, and friends generously share their time they learn the importance of giving back and getting involved.
We hope you’ll get involved by attending events, volunteering on various committees, helping with our fundraisers, sharing your hobbies, talents, professional expertise, or culture with your child’s class. We also offer parent education classes throughout the year for families, which further inspire a close and supportive community. Everyone is invited to participate. Working together, we will ensure TCH remains a warm and supportive educational community.
For ideas on how you can help, please contact your TCH Board President, the School Director, or your child’s teacher.
Parents and their children come to help out with spring mulch spreading or fall leaf collection. It’s a great way to meet other families as well as show your children the importance of community service.

Decorate your trunk in a fun and not so spooky theme and the children of TCH will parade from car to car for a treat in a safe environment. Trunk or Treat is a fun and creative way for parents to participate and get involved.

A day to honor mothers and a way to reinforce exercises of grace and courtesy. Children participate in preparing a meal and creating a special gift for mom.

Each spring the TCH Board of Trustees hosts our annual fundraiser. It’s a night filled with friends, family, food and fun. In the past we have had casino nights, dueling pianos and comedy shows. The evening typically includes a silent auction and tricky tray. This event is open to the public so please join us and extend the invite to all.

Is 1 hour of back to school FUN! It’s a time to welcome new families or reconnect with your teachers and friends in a fun and relaxing environment.

TCH shares time with their dad’s for a Father’s Day in October to thank them for all that they do.
